LENOVO THINKPAD EDGE S430 General Info
The Lenovo ThinkPad Edge S430 is a successor to its previous model -the Edge E420s-with some changes. This notebook is powered by the Ivy Bridge platform, which is the next generation from Intel. It will be available in spring this year. This processor has also been used in the thinkpad t430u ultrabook, which should enable a better performance and stronger battery life for the system. Both these models are to be released later on this year after Intel’s Ivy Bridge processors are made available.The S430 is nowhere near the thinness of T430U, which can be overlooked since the availability of an optical drive may be the reason. However, similar lenovo thinkpad in a bulkier finish will also be available a little before the release of S430 this year using the Intel third generation Core processors. This Windows 7 operating system thinkpad will be available in a 14 inch E430 model and a 15 inch E530 model. The S340 laptop, unlike similar lenovo thinkpad, comes with a set of security and productivity tools which help in saving energy overnight and automatic patch updates.
The Lenovo ThinkPad Edge S430 will be available in the month of June this year and the approximate starting price of the model is given at $749. The other models of the E series, including E520 and E430, will be made available in April - slightly before the S430 - and will start at a price of $549. Further on, some B series models are also expected to be released in April in the budget option lot price of $399. However, no further specifications have been given on these series of Lenovo laptops.
Display
The new elements introduced in this model include the 1600 X 900 HD resolution display screen, which is also non-reflective. It will be available with Nvidia Optimus graphics technology to provide best visual results. As compared to the other notebooks of this size the offer of this 2012 lenovo thinkpad is much better because with this HD + resolution, users will benefit from viewing at least 20% more content on their screen. Also less scrolling is required - not to mention more productivity will be achieved too. Compared to the T430u, the edge s430 hands-on model works much better on its display compared to the ultra book model. Also the ultra responsive Click Pad is a feature worth mentioning.Performance
It will bring strong battery backup as company didn’t announced battery specifications. Talking about portals, the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge S430 is equipped with a thunderbolt port through which you can easily connect to high-speed peripherals of the next generation. Using the Intel Thunderbolt technology users will be able to successfully transfer a full-length movie within 30 seconds and in a little over 10 minutes will be sufficient to backup MP3 continuous backups for a whole year.
