ASUS Zenbook UX21

With few small exceptions, ASUS is highly recommended with excellent performance with Zenbook UX21 layout. ASUS is most comfortable and good looking PC notebook I have ever come across. Owing to its brushed stainless steel surface, it stands out a lot more than a MacBook Air some time. Zenbook UX21 is little more tastefully and elegant than Apple’s design.


One way or another, UX21 is undoubtedly marvelous and one of the things that you really want to have. The Zenbook’s chassis is fully covered with stainless steel. Chassis is built with a small aluminum block and is drafted out by using a CNC mill. The resultant chassis is quite stiff and exempt from any observable stretch.


It does not mean that Ultrabook is not cohesive at all. Actually, the best definition of ASUS’ first Ultrabook can be described in a single word; i.e.,”impressive”. The main body to the chassis is arranged in a vertical brushed pattern where as the display lid is brushed in a circular pattern with two different colors. Main body is featured with platinum silver color and display screen is decorated with darker aluminum color.

Graphics

The display lid is quite rigid and can be held up perpendicularly to the ground without having the hinge under the force of gravity. You can move the hinge as you like by picking it up and shaking the UX21 little bit, but still it is pretty inflexible causing resistant to the unintended movements. UX21 won’t help you if you are crazy of playing latest first person shooter game with modern graphics during your train journey.

Performance

The Zenbook PC notebook has a little bit more accurate estimate of its standby battery time. ASUS keep monitoring the usage of battery even if you put your Zenbook UX21 to sleep. Thus, it gives you accurate estimate of remaining battery capacity as the basis of this power usage and standby time. Since the power also depends partly on memory you have in it that’s why an estimate of battery capacity is significantly improved and accurate. You will have an advantage of having trailing estimate, which tells you how long your battery will go if you want to do the same as you did previously before putting it to sleep.


Although I have heard the noise from the fan when it spins up but the chassis never got as hotter as that creates some uncomfortable situation. It has both flashy and functional effects. The two downward speakers of UX21 produce decent and smooth audio together.
